SCAGO Peer Support Session: About the Patient Advocacy & Advisory Council

This SCAGO Peer Support group meeting introduced the Patient Advocacy and Advisory Council (PAAC) and its mission to support the sickle cell disease community through various advocacy efforts and initiatives. The session highlighted the diverse backgrounds and roles of PAAC members, including their work in addressing systemic healthcare issues, promoting community health, and improving access to therapies and clinical trials.

The meeting covered current projects focused on gathering data to improve patient care, discussed available resources and support channels, and concluded with information about upcoming events and a reminder of PAC's dedication to supporting the sickle cell community.
